Dalit Ben-Israel is head of Naschitz Brandes Amir's IT, Privacy & Data Protection Practice, co-head of the firm's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Group, and a member of its Commercial Group. Her practice focuses on information technology, cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection, alongside a broad corporate and commercial practice with particular emphasis on technology-driven transactions. Dalit has extensive experience advising corporations on domestic and international commercial transactions involving information technology and digital services. Her work includes drafting and negotiating complex IT agreements covering software licensing, cloud and SaaS solutions, big data, open-source software, outsourcing arrangements, and large-scale IT projects, as well as advising on internet-related legal and contractual matters. Her clients include software and technology companies, IT service providers, media and communications companies, and a broad range of high-tech and commercial enterprises. In the areas of cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection, Dalit advises on regulatory compliance, privacy governance, data processing agreements, policies and contractual frameworks, data breaches and security incidents, marketing and spam regulation, and cyber insurance matters. She works closely with the firm's Hi-Tech, M&A, and Capital Markets teams on privacy and cybersecurity due diligence and other transactional matters. She also supports the firm's Litigation practice in privacy- and spam-related disputes, including class actions. A frequent speaker and author on privacy and cybersecurity, Dalit also provides training on Israeli privacy law and European data protection law, with particular emphasis on the GDPR. Before joining Naschitz Brandes Amir, Dalit spent 26 years at Hermann Makov & Co., where she progressed from associate to partner and ultimately led the firm's commercial department. She has been consistently recognized for her expertise, ranked Band 1 for IT & Data Protection by Chambers and Partners and recommended by the Legal 500 EMEA for Commercial Transactions. Dalit is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and co-chair of the OneTrust PrivacyConnect Tel Aviv Chapter.
