- Time to Legalize Data Transfers from Turkey - Deadline: September 1, 2024.The Turkish Data Protection Law was amended to introduce new mechanisms to transfer personal data from Turkey to other countries. One of the significant changes is that consent will not be used as a legal basis as of September 1, 2024. This deadline requires controllers and processors exporting personal data from Turkey to take action and comply with the new data transfer mechanisms by September 1, 2024.20 August 2024
